๐ DOCTRINE OR DECEPTION
WHY GINO JENNINGS IS WRONG ABOUT PORK, PAUL, AND THE LAW
"Think not that I am come to destroy the Torah…" — Mattithyahu (Matthew) 5:17
๐ INTRODUCTION
Many today have been led astray by smooth words that justify disobedience. Among the most vocal of these teachers is Gino Jennings, who boldly declares that eating swine's flesh is lawful under the "new covenant."
But Yahusha Ha'Mashiach (whom the world calls Jesus) never taught such a thing.
He kept the Torah.
He honored the Sabbath.
He fulfilled the prophecies.
And He commanded all who would follow Him to do likewise.
"If ye love Me, keep My commandments."
— Yochanon (John) 14:15
⚖️ THE MESSIAH KEPT THE LAW
When Yahusha said,
"Think not that I am come to destroy the Torah or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil." (Mattithyahu 5:17–18)
He was not abolishing the Law — He was magnifying it.
The Greek word plฤroล means to carry out or complete, not to nullify.
Heaven and earth still stand, and so does His Torah.
The Messiah never ate swine's flesh, nor is there a single verse showing Him eating any unclean meat. His example was pure, holy, and undefiled.
๐ THE ERROR OF GINO JENNINGS
In the public debate "Muslim Man Challenges Pastor Gino Jennings on Pork," Pastor Jennings claimed:
"God makes nothing unclean — bless it and eat it."
But Yahuah Himself said:
"And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be cloven-footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. Of their flesh shall ye not eat."
— Vayiqra (Leviticus) 11:7–8
To declare clean what Yahuah called unclean is rebellion, not revelation.
Yesha'yahu (Isaiah) warned of the judgment to come:
"They that sanctify themselves… eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, says Yahuah."
— Yesha'yahu (Isaiah) 66:17
๐ THE TRUTH ABOUT PAUL
Pastor Jennings—and many like him—misuse Paul's writings to justify lawlessness.
Yet even Peter warned us:
"In all his epistles are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other Scriptures, unto their own destruction."
— 2 Kepha (2 Peter) 3:16
Paul never taught against the Torah.
He taught that faith in Yahusha brings justification — but the Torah defines righteousness.
"Do we then make void the Torah through faith? Yahuah forbid: yea, we establish the Torah."
— Romans 3:31
When Paul wrote about "meats" in Romans 14 or 1 Timothy 4, he referred to clean foods being debated over (such as those offered to idols), not unclean animals like swine or shellfish.
"For every creature of Elohiym is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: for it is sanctified by the Word of Elohiym and prayer."
— 1 Timothy 4:4–5
Only those things already sanctified by the Word (Leviticus 11, Deuteronomy 14) are to be received. Pigs are not among them.
๐ THE NEW COVENANT DOES NOT ABOLISH THE LAW
Many preachers confuse the fault of the old covenant with the Torah itself. The fault was not in Yahuah's law — it was in the people who broke it.
"For finding fault with them, He said, Behold, the days come… when I will make a new covenant… I will put My Torah in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts."
— Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 31:33; cf. Ivriym (Hebrews) 8:8–10
The same Torah, written not on stone but upon hearts of flesh.
๐ฅ THE KINGDOM IS BUILT ON OBEDIENCE, NOT LICENSE
Jennings quotes Romans 14:17 — "The kingdom of God is not meat and drink…" — to imply that what we eat no longer matters.
But Paul's point was that salvation is not earned by food laws — not that food laws are void.
Yahusha and His apostles taught obedience born of faith, not faith divorced from obedience.
"Hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments."
— 1 Yochanon (1 John) 2:3
⚖️ COMPARISON OF DOCTRINE
| Gino Jennings' Teaching | Scripture Says |
|---|---|
| "Pork is now clean." | Leviticus 11, Isaiah 66 – Swine remains abominable. |
| "God changed the law." | Romans 3:31 – Faith establishes Torah. |
| "Abstaining from meats is a doctrine of devils." | 1 Timothy 4:3 – Refers to forbidding lawful foods, not Torah obedience. |
| "The old covenant law was replaced." | Jeremiah 31:33 – The Torah is written on our hearts. |
๐ THE FINAL WORD
"To the Torah and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this Word, it is because there is no light in them."
— Yesha'yahu (Isaiah) 8:20
The Son of Elohiym never ate swine.
He never taught His followers to.
He never abolished His Father's commandments.
Let the faithful return to the dietary holiness Yahuah commanded.
For obedience is better than sacrifice — and rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft (1 Shemu'el / 1 Samuel 15:22–23).
๐ CLOSING PRAYER
Abba Yahuah,
open the eyes of those deceived by traditions of men,
that they may see Your Torah as freedom, not bondage.
Let the Ruach Ha'Qodesh write Your commandments upon our hearts
and separate us from the uncleanness of this world.
Let truth prevail where error has been preached,
and may Your people walk as Yahusha walked — in purity, obedience, and love.
Amein.
