BELIEVE ON THE MESSIAH AS THE SCRIPTURE HAS SAID - Truth vs. Tradition Study Guide
๐✨ BELIEVE ON THE MESSIAH AS THE SCRIPTURE HAS SAID ✨๐
THEME FOR TODAY:
"He that believes on Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."
—Yahuchanon (John) 7:38
I. INTRODUCTION
๐ Purpose of the Study
- To separate truth from tradition in how we believe upon Yahusha Ha'Mashiach
- To expose how believing "as the world teaches" leads to idolatry, deception, and spiritual bondage
- To call all seekers to believe as the Scripture says, not as religion, denomination, or culture dictates
⚖️ Foundational Command
"He that believes on Me, as the Scripture has said…" (Yahuchanon 7:38)
Faith that produces living water (truth, Spirit, understanding) must align with the Word, not with man-made portrayals.
II. THE CONTRAST: SCRIPTURE VS. TRADITION
๐ What the Scriptures Say of the Messiah
- His lineage: from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—rooted in Yahuah's covenant people
- His appearance: described in Chizayon 1:13-15, Daniy'el 10:5-6, confirming a man of dark skin and woolly hair
- His mission: to save His people from their sins (Mattithyahu 1:21), restore the lost sheep of Yashar'el (Mattithyahu 15:24)
- His divinity: "When you have seen Me, you have seen the Father" (Yahuchanon 14:9)
⚠️ What the Traditions of Men Teach
- A Europeanized, lawless image of "Jesus" who abolishes Torah instead of fulfilling it
- Doctrines that detach Him from His Hebrew identity and covenant promises
- The substitution of truth with imagery, pagan holidays, and denominational control
- A false "grace without obedience" gospel that removes the need for repentance and Torah observance
⚡ Scriptural Warning Against Tradition
"In vain they do worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."
(Mattithyahu 15:9)
"Break down their images." (Devariym 7:5)
"Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
(Yahuchanon 8:32)
III. THE DANGER OF BELIEVING A LIE
๐ซ False Images Breed False Worship
- Bowing to or mentally accepting an image of a white European "Christ" violates the Second Commandment
- Belief in a lie is participation in idolatry (Romaiym 1:25)
- As shown in multiple debates, lies about the Messiah's identity distort how we understand His authority and who His people are
⚰️ Spiritual Consequences
A corrupted image produces corrupted doctrine.
Those who reject the truth of His person, mission, and commandments cannot receive the Spirit of Truth (Yahuchanon 14:17).
IV. BELIEVING ON HIM AS THE SCRIPTURE SAYS
✨ True Belief Defined
- To believe is to trust, obey, and conform to the revealed Word of Yahuah
- True faith acknowledges Yahusha's Hebrew identity, His Torah obedience, and His oneness with the Father
๐♂️ Confessing He Came in the Flesh
"Every spirit that confesses not that Yahusha Ha'Mashiach is come in the flesh is not of Elohiym." (1 Yahuchanon 4:3)
Confession involves acknowledgment of the flesh He came in, the people He came from, and the purpose He came for.
๐ง The Living Water Promise
Out of the belly (inner being) of those who believe rightly flows rivers of living water—symbolizing truth, Ruach, and eternal life (Yahuchanon 7:38).
V. THE CALL TO RETURN
๐ Repent from the Image of the Beast
- Turn from idolatrous depictions and false gospels that conceal the truth of Yahuah's Word
- Destroy the altars of tradition and rebuild the altar of obedience
๐ Restore the Faith Once Delivered
- Believe in the Mashiach as the prophets foretold, the apostles testified, and the Cepher confirms
- Live as He lived: in covenant, obedience, humility, and truth
๐️ Walk in Spirit and Truth
- Worship Yahuah in Spirit and in Truth (Yahuchanon 4:24)
- Allow the Ruach Ha'Qodesh to reveal Yahusha—not through stained glass or icons, but through the Word written on your heart

VII. REFLECTION & QUESTIONS
❓ Have I believed in the Messiah as the Scripture says—or as men have taught me?
❓ What images, doctrines, or habits in my life reflect the traditions of men rather than the Word of Yahuah?
❓ How can I demonstrate belief in Yahusha through obedience to His commandments?
VIII. CLOSING PRAYER
O Yahuah Elohiym,
cleanse our eyes from falsehood and our hearts from deception.
Let us behold Yahusha Ha'Mashiach as the Scriptures reveal Him—
the Living Word, the True Vine, and the Way unto eternal life.
Deliver us from the traditions of men that profane Your Name,
and restore within us the Ruach of Truth, that living water may flow from our bellies.
In the Name above all names, Yahusha Ha'Mashiach, Amein.
