๐Ÿ”ฅ Iron Sharpens Iron: Walking as Shepherds Among Brethren

๐Ÿ”ฅ FOR THE BROTHERHOOD WHO CHOSE THE NARROW PATH. Brothers, you made the conscious decision. You heard the call of Yahusha and answered "Yes, I will follow." But the journey doesn't end there—it begins. And on this path, we don't walk alone. "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." —Mishlei (Proverbs) 27:17. The Challenge: Being Examples First. Every man walking in the footsteps of Yahusha is called to be more than just a follower—he's called to be a shepherd among his fellow disciples. Not because we're perfect, but because love demands accountability. The Scriptures don't mince words: "Open rebuke is better than secret love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful." —Mishlei 27:5-6. Your brother stumbles? Love him enough to speak truth. Your brother wanders? Love him enough to guide him back. Your brother excels? Love him enough to celebrate without envy. The Humility Check: Even Yahusha Knew His Place. When someone called Yahusha "good shepherd," He immediately redirected: "There is none good but Yahuah." Think about that. The Son of the Most High, in all His glory, maintained perfect humility before the Father. If Yahusha—who lived without sin—refused to claim the title "good" apart from Yahuah, how much more should we walk in humility? "Boast not yourself of tomorrow; for you know not what a day may bring forth. Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips." —Mishlei 27:1-2. This is the standard, brothers. Shepherding without ego. Leading without lordship. Correcting without condescension. The Daily Reality: Tests Come in Every Form. Spiritual warfare is real. Some tests hit like a sledgehammer—obvious temptations, blatant opposition. Others creep in like smoke—subtle pride, quiet compromise, the slow drift toward complacency. Those who choose sin over righteousness aren't just neutral—they're advancing the adversary's kingdom. And every single day we draw breath, we face the same choice Yahusha (Joshua) put before Yisra'el: "Choose you this day whom ye will serve." —Yahusha 24:15. This day. Today. Right now. Will you shepherd your brother or let him drift? Will you speak truth or stay silent? Will you be iron that sharpens, or will you be the dull blade that needs sharpening? The Standard: Know Your Flock. "Be you diligent to know the state of your flocks, and look well to your herds." —Mishlei 27:23. This isn't just about livestock, brother. It's about knowing the spiritual condition of those Yahuah has placed in your sphere. Your family. Your brothers in the faith. Your community. Is your brother growing stronger in righteousness or weaker? Is he drawing closer to Yahuah's Torah or drifting toward the world's ways? Does he need encouragement, correction, or just someone to listen? You can't shepherd what you don't know. You can't sharpen iron you never encounter. The Proof: Walking as He Walked. "And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He that says, I know Him, and keeps not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keeps His word, in him verily is the love of Elohiym perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him. He that says he abides in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked." —1 Yochanon (John) 2:3-6. This is where the rubber meets the road. We know we know Yahusha by keeping His Father's commandments. We prove our discipleship by walking as He walked. And how did He walk? As one who shepherded others while maintaining perfect submission to Yahuah. THE QUESTION THAT MATTERS: Will you be the iron that sharpens your brother, or will you let him dull alone? The choice is yours. But remember—every day you have breath is "this day." Choose well, brother. Your fellowship depends on it. Your growth demands it. And Yahuah is watching. Ready to step up as the shepherd-brother Yahuah called you to be? The path is narrow, but we don't walk it alone.

๐Ÿ”ฅ FOR THE BROTHERHOOD WHO CHOSE THE NARROW PATH

Brothers, you made the conscious decision. You heard the call of Yahusha and answered "Yes, I will follow." But the journey doesn't end there—it begins. And on this path, we don't walk alone.

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."
—Mishlei (Proverbs) 27:17

⚔️ The Challenge: Being Examples First

Every man walking in the footsteps of Yahusha is called to be more than just a follower—he's called to be a shepherd among his fellow disciples. Not because we're perfect, but because love demands accountability.

The Scriptures don't mince words:

"Open rebuke is better than secret love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful." —Mishlei 27:5-6

Your brother stumbles? Love him enough to speak truth. Your brother wanders? Love him enough to guide him back. Your brother excels? Love him enough to celebrate without envy.

๐Ÿ™ The Humility Check: Even Yahusha Knew His Place

When someone called Yahusha "good shepherd," He immediately redirected: "There is none good but Yahuah." Think about that. The Son of the Most High, in all His glory, maintained perfect humility before the Father.

If Yahusha—who lived without sin—refused to claim the title "good" apart from Yahuah, how much more should we walk in humility?

"Boast not yourself of tomorrow; for you know not what a day may bring forth. Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips." —Mishlei 27:1-2

This is the standard, brothers. Shepherding without ego. Leading without lordship. Correcting without condescension.

⚡ The Daily Reality: Tests Come in Every Form

Spiritual warfare is real. Some tests hit like a sledgehammer—obvious temptations, blatant opposition. Others creep in like smoke—subtle pride, quiet compromise, the slow drift toward complacency.

Those who choose sin over righteousness aren't just neutral—they're advancing the adversary's kingdom. And every single day we draw breath, we face the same choice Yahusha (Joshua) put before Yisra'el:

"Choose you this day whom ye will serve." —Yahusha 24:15

This day. Today. Right now. Will you shepherd your brother or let him drift? Will you speak truth or stay silent? Will you be iron that sharpens, or will you be the dull blade that needs sharpening?

๐Ÿ‘ The Standard: Know Your Flock

"Be you diligent to know the state of your flocks, and look well to your herds." —Mishlei 27:23

This isn't just about livestock, brother. It's about knowing the spiritual condition of those Yahuah has placed in your sphere. Your family. Your brothers in the faith. Your community.

  • Is your brother growing stronger in righteousness or weaker?
  • Is he drawing closer to Yahuah's Torah or drifting toward the world's ways?
  • Does he need encouragement, correction, or just someone to listen?

You can't shepherd what you don't know. You can't sharpen iron you never encounter.

✅ The Proof: Walking as He Walked

"And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He that says, I know Him, and keeps not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keeps His word, in him verily is the love of Elohiym perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him. He that says he abides in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked." —1 Yochanon (John) 2:3-6

This is where the rubber meets the road. We know we know Yahusha by keeping His Father's commandments. We prove our discipleship by walking as He walked. And how did He walk? As one who shepherded others while maintaining perfect submission to Yahuah.

THE QUESTION THAT MATTERS:

Will you be the iron that sharpens your brother, or will you let him dull alone?

The choice is yours. But remember—every day you have breath is "this day."

Choose well, brother. Your fellowship depends on it. Your growth demands it. And Yahuah is watching.

Ready to step up as the shepherd-brother Yahuah called you to be?
The path is narrow, but we don't walk it alone.

May this message strengthen the bonds of brotherhood in your walk with Yahusha.

Shalom and blessings from The FUNDamental Qahal of the Most High
