๐ HOW TO LAWFULLY CLAIM EXEMPTION FROM INCOME TAX WITHHOLDING
(AND WHY IT IS A KINGDOM ACT)
๐ THEME FOR TODAY
"Come out of Babylon and return to the law of liberty as commanded by Yahuah, that no man may rule over you unjustly."
๐ INTRODUCTION
Many of us were raised under man-made systems that make us believe our labor belongs to the state — but the Torah teaches otherwise. Yahuah gave man dominion over the earth (Bereshiyth / Genesis 1:26–28), not subjection to the inventions of men.
When you understand that wages for honest labor are not "income" as defined by men's statutes, you will realize that you were never created to be a tax slave, but to serve Yahuah alone.
๐ WHAT THE LAW AND SCRIPTURE SAY
The Internal Revenue Code defines "income" under Title 26, yet even the U.S. Supreme Court (Eisner v. Macomber, 252 U.S. 189) acknowledged that "income" means gain derived from capital, labor, or both combined — not the simple exchange of labor for lawful compensation.
If you have received only wages for your work and not corporate gains, dividends, or securities, then what you received is the fruit of your own labor — and "the laborer is worthy of his hire" (Luqas / Luke 10:7).
Yahuah's Torah forbids man from enslaving another through unjust weights or balances (Devariym / Deuteronomy 25:13–16). The withholding system is one such false balance when applied to those who owe nothing according to the true law.
๐ HOW TO LAWFULLY CLAIM YOUR EXEMPTION
- Download and/or print the IRS Form W4 from the IRS website HERE. Fill out IRS Form W-4 truthfully. Complete all of Step 1. Do not enter anything for Steps 2 and 3.
- Just below the box designated for Step 4(c), [in the white space just below box 4(c) and just above the box for the date] write the word "Exempt."
- (Step 4) Do not enter other numbers or deductions unless you lawfully owe taxes as defined by the IRC.
- Submit the form only to your employer — not to the IRS.
๐ Reminder: This only applies if you did not receive statutory "income" and are acting in truth. Submitting false forms is bearing false witness (Shemoth / Exodus 20:16).
⚖️ WHY THIS IS LAWFUL AND RIGHTEOUS
You are not rejecting law — you are fulfilling it.
You are not breaking man's statute — you are standing in the higher law of Yahuah.
The W-4 is a private agreement between you and your employer.
If no taxable income exists, no lawful withholding is due.
If an employer withholds despite your notice, they act under presumption — and every presumption can be rebutted with truth, affidavit, and testimony.
NOTE: One could also make a claim for damages in the event they (your employer) are withholding your wages without authorization (only after you've resubmitted the corrected W4 wherein you express that you are exempt from withholding and thus do not grant them authorization).
THE IRS SAYS THIS IS YOUR REMEDY!
(from page 2 of the 2025 IRS Form W4)
"If you claim exemption, you will
have no income tax withheld from your paycheck and may owe
taxes and penalties when you file your 2025 tax return. To claim
exemption from withholding, certify that you meet both of the
conditions above by writing “Exempt” on Form W-4 in the space
below Step 4(c). Then, complete Steps 1(a), 1(b), and 5. Do not
complete any other steps. You will need to submit a new Form
W-4 by February 17, 2026."
Remember: "Where the Ruach Yahuah is, there is liberty." (2 Corinthians 3:17)
๐ WHY THIS IS A KINGDOM ACT
Yahusha said, "Render therefore unto Qeysar (Caesar) the things which are Qeysar's, and unto Elohiym the things that are Elohiym's." (Mattithyahu / Matthew 22:21)
If your labor is your own and not Qeysar's, then you owe Qeysar nothing.
By standing in this truth, you:
- Refuse to fund wickedness and oppression (Yesha'yahu / Isaiah 10:1–2).
- Acknowledge that your body and labor belong to Yahuah alone.
- Withdraw your strength from Babylon's system of bondage (Chazon / Revelation 18:4).
- Proclaim liberty throughout all the land (Vayiqra / Leviticus 25:10).
This is more than a lawful stand — it is a spiritual one. It declares that your service and substance belong to Yahuah, not to the beast system.
๐ฌ REFLECTION
When you reclaim the fruit of your own labor under divine law, you are fulfilling Yahusha's command: "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." (Yochanon / John 8:36)
Freedom begins with obedience to truth, not rebellion.
It is not anti-law — it is the perfecting of law under righteousness.
๐ CLOSING PRAYER
Abba Yahuah,
teach us to labor righteously and to discern between lawful and unlawful tribute.
Let us walk not in fear of man, but in reverence of Your Name.
May our hands serve You alone, and may our works proclaim liberty through Mashiach Yahusha,
so that Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Amein.
