๐Ÿ“œ STUDY REFLECTION

AMOS 7 & MISHLEI (PROVERBS) 2

THEME: "Discerning Yahuah's Plumbline in Our Daily Walk"

๐Ÿ“– SCRIPTURE FOUNDATION

๐Ÿ”จ AMOS 7:7–8 (ืืช CEPHER)

"Thus He showed me: and, behold, Yahuah stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in His hand.

And Yahuah said unto me, 'Amos, what do you see?' And I said, 'A plumbline.'

Then said Yahuah, 'Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of My people Yashar'el: I will not again pass by them any more.'"

๐Ÿงญ MISHLEI (PROVERBS) 2:6–8 (ืืช CEPHER)

"For Yahuah gives wisdom: out of His mouth comes knowledge and understanding.

He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous: He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

He guards the paths of judgment, and preserves the way of His kind ones."

๐Ÿงญ UNDERSTANDING THE CONNECTION

In Amos 7, Yahuah shows the prophet a plumbline — a tool used to test whether a wall stands straight or crooked.

This represents Yahuah's standard of righteousness: His Torah, His truth, His ways.

When He "sets the plumbline" among His people, He's revealing how far their lives, worship, and justice have leaned away from His alignment.

Proverbs 2 gives the personal key to that same principle.

It tells us that true wisdom — the ability to discern what is straight versus what is crooked — comes only from Yahuah.

His Word is both the plumbline and the measuring rod by which we test every motive, word, and action in our daily walk.

Together, these two passages teach that:
Yahuah's wisdom doesn't just inform us — it aligns us.

๐Ÿ’ก APPLICATION IN YOUR DAILY WALK

1. ๐Ÿ“š Seek Wisdom Daily

Proverbs 2 begins with an invitation to receive His words and hide His commandments within you.

Each morning, measure your thoughts and choices by that plumbline — "Is this upright before Yahuah?"

2. ๐Ÿ‘‚ Be Teachable Like Amos

Amos didn't argue when Yahuah showed him the plumbline; he observed, listened, and then interceded.

When Yahuah reveals correction or imbalance in your life, respond with humility and prayer, not defensiveness.

3. ๐Ÿ›ก️ Guard Your Path

Proverbs 2:8 promises that Yahuah "preserves the way of His kind ones."

That means staying away from crooked dealings, falsehood, and compromise.

If your integrity bends, the plumbline will reveal it — repent quickly and realign.

4. ⚖️ Stand Straight Amid Crookedness

Just as Amos stood in a rebellious generation, we too must stand firm when society leans away from truth.

Wisdom gives strength to stand upright even when others call what's crooked "straight."

5. ๐Ÿ™ Walk in Reverent Fear, Not Religious Routine

The plumbline is not meant to destroy you — it's meant to keep you upright.

Daily, let the fear (reverence) of Yahuah drive your decision-making, not the opinions of men.

๐Ÿ”ฅ PERSONAL REFLECTION

When Yahuah sets His plumbline beside me,

do my actions, thoughts, and words line up with His Word —

or do they reveal a lean, a bend, or a compromise I've justified?

The wise learn to welcome the plumbline.

For correction is mercy; it keeps the wall from collapsing later.

๐Ÿ™ CLOSING PRAYER

O Yahuah Elohiym,
Hold Your plumbline beside my heart today.

Where I've leaned toward pride, straighten me with humility.
Where my judgment has been clouded, cleanse me with Your wisdom.

Teach me to love Your truth, to walk uprightly,
and to welcome Your correction as the mark of Your covenant love.

May I stand firm when tested,
walking in the wisdom and grace You provide through Yahusha Ha'Mashiach.

Amein.
