๐Ÿ“– TORAH READING – Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:26–32

  1. And Yahuah spoke unto Mosheh, saying,
  2. Also on the tenth day of this seventh month is Yom Kippur: it shall be a holy assembly unto you; and you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto Yahuah.
  3. And you shall do no work in that same day: for it is Yom Kippur, to make an atonement for you before Yahuah Elohaykem.
  4. For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
  5. And whatsoever soul it be that does any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
  6. You shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
  7. It shall be unto you a Shabbath of rest, and you shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening unto evening, shall you celebrate your Shabbath.

๐Ÿ“– TORAH READING – Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 16:29–34

  1. And this shall be a statute forever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourns among you:
  2. For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins before Yahuah.
  3. It shall be a Shabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute forever.
  4. And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments:
  5. And he shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for the Tabernacle of the assembly, and for the altar, and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the assembly.
  6. And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Yashar'el for all their sins once a year. And he did as Yahuah commanded Mosheh.

๐Ÿ“– PROPHETS READING – Yesha'yahu (Isaiah) 58:6–14

  1. Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
  2. Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house? when you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you hide not yourself from your own flesh?
  3. Then shall your light break forth as the morning, and your health shall spring forth speedily: and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of Yahuah shall be your rereward.
  4. Then shall you call, and Yahuah shall answer; you shall cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If you take away from the midst of you the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
  5. And if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall your light rise in obscurity, and your darkness be as the noonday:
  6. And Yahuah shall guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and make fat your bones: and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
  7. And they that shall be of you shall build the old waste places: you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
  8. If you turn away your foot from the Shabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the Shabbath a delight, the holy of Yahuah, honourable; and shall honour him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words:
  9. Then shall you delight yourself in Yahuah; and I will cause you to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Ya'aqov your father: for the mouth of Yahuah has spoken it.

๐Ÿ“– PSALM – Tehilliym (Psalm) 51:1–17

  1. Have mercy upon me, O Elohiym, according to your lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of your tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
  2. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
  3. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
  4. Against you, you only, have I sinned, and done this evil in your sight: that you might be justified when you speak, and be clear when you judge.
  5. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
  6. Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part you shall make me to know wisdom.
  7. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
  8. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which you have broken may rejoice.
  9. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.
  10. Create in me a clean heart, O Elohiym; and renew a right ruach within me.
  11. Cast me not away from your presence; and take not your holy Ruach from me.
  12. Restore unto me the joy of your yeshu`ah; and uphold me with your free Ruach.
  13. Then will I teach transgressors your ways; and sinners shall be converted unto you.
  14. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O Elohiym, Elohai of my yeshu`ah: and my tongue shall sing aloud of your righteousness.
  15. O Adonai, open my lips; and my mouth shall show forth your praise.
  16. For you desire not sacrifice; else would I give it: you delight not in burnt offering.
  17. The sacrifices of Elohiym are a broken ruach: a broken and a contrite heart, O Elohiym, you will not despise.

๐Ÿ“– BRIT CHADASHAH – Ivriym (Hebrews) 9:11–14

  1. But Mashiach being come a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect Tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
  2. Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
  3. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies to the purifying of the flesh:
  4. How much more shall the blood of Mashiach, who through the eternal Ruach offered himself without spot to Elohiym, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living Elohiym?

๐Ÿ“– SUPPORTIVE READING – Sefer Ha'Yashar (Book of Jasher) 19:50–53

  1. And on the tenth day of the seventh month, Yahuah commanded that it should be a day of affliction and covering for Yashar'el, throughout their generations.
  2. And it was appointed that in their affliction they should cry out unto Yahuah, and he would forgive them, for he is merciful and compassionate.
  3. And Mosheh declared this day unto the people, and they observed it as Yahuah commanded.
  4. And it became a statute forever for the children of Yashar'el in all their dwellings.

✨ THEME FOR TODAY

Yom Kippur is the appointed day of atonement, cleansing, and affliction before Yahuah. It reminds us that without blood there is no remission of sins, yet Yahusha, our High Priest, has entered once for all with His own blood to obtain eternal redemption.

๐Ÿ™ CLOSING PRAYER AND REFLECTION

O Yahuah, Most High and Merciful, we humble ourselves before You on this Yom Kippur. Cleanse us from our sins and create in us clean hearts. May the blood of Yahusha cover us and restore us to Your presence. Help us to afflict our souls in sincerity, and let us rejoice in the redemption You have provided. May we live as a people forgiven, restored, and set apart unto You. In the name of Yahusha Ha'Mashiach, Amein.

May this reading strengthen your walk with Yahuah and prepare your heart for the sacred days ahead.

Shalom and blessings from The FUNDamental Qahal of the Most High
