๐ TORAH READING – Devariym (Deuteronomy) 33:1–17
- And this is the blessing, wherewith Mosheh the man of Elohiym blessed the children of Yashar'el before his death.
- And he said, Yahuah came from Sinai, and rose up from Se`iyr unto them; he shined forth from Mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of qodeshiym: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.
- Yea, he loved the people; all his qodeshiym are in your hand: and they sat down at your feet; everyone shall receive of your words.
- Mosheh commanded us a Torah, even the inheritance of the assembly of Ya`aqov.
- And he was king in Yasharun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Yashar'el were gathered together.
- Let Re'uven live, and not die; and let not his men be few.
- And this is the blessing of Yahudah: and he said, Hear, Yahuah, the voice of Yahudah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be you a help to him from his enemies.
- And of Leviy he said, Let your Thummim and your Uriym be with your holy one, whom you did prove at Massah, and with whom you did strive at the waters of Meriyvah;
- Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have guarded your word, and kept your covenant.
- They shall teach Ya`aqov your judgments, and Yashar'el your Torah: they shall put incense before you, and whole burnt sacrifice upon your altar.
- Bless, Yahuah, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again.
- And of Binyamiyn he said, The beloved of Yahuah shall dwell in safety by him; and Yahuah shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders.
- And of Yoseph he said, Blessed of Yahuah be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that couches beneath,
- And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,
- And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,
- And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Yoseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
- His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of ra'emiym: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephrayim, and they are the thousands of Menashsheh.
๐ PROPHETS READING – Yechezq'el (Ezekiel) 34:11–16
- For thus says Adonai Yahuah; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out.
- As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
- And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Yashar'el by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
- I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Yashar'el shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Yashar'el.
- I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, says Adonai Yahuah.
- I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
๐ PSALM – Tehilliym (Psalm) 80:1–7
- Give ear, O Shepherd of Yashar'el, you that lead Yoseph like a flock; you that dwell between the Keruviym, shine forth.
- Before Ephrayim and Binyamiyn and Menashsheh stir up your strength, and come and save us.
- Turn us again, O Elohiym, and cause your face to shine; and we shall be saved.
- O Yahuah Elohai Tseva'oth, how long will you be angry against the prayer of your people?
- You feed them with the bread of tears; and give them tears to drink in great measure.
- You make us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.
- Turn us again, O Elohiym Tseva'oth, and cause your face to shine; and we shall be saved.
๐ BRIT CHADASHAH – Yahuchanon (John) 10:11–16
- I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.
- But he that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees: and the wolf catches them, and scatters the sheep.
- The hireling flees, because he is a hireling, and cares not for the sheep.
- I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
- As the Father knows me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
- And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
๐ SUPPORTIVE READING – Sefer Ha'Yashar (Book of Jasher) 49:14–20
- And Mosheh blessed the tribes of Yashar'el before his death, according to the Word of Yahuah.
- And he gave to each tribe words of strength, inheritance, and prophecy concerning their future.
- And Yoseph received a double portion, as it was commanded, and his sons were established with strength.
- And Re'uven was restored, though diminished.
- And Yahudah was given the promise of kingship.
- And Leviy was appointed to guard the Torah and the priesthood.
- And all the tribes rejoiced in the blessings of Yahuah spoken through Mosheh.
