A day of rest, reflection, and rejoicing in Yahuah's blessings
๐ TORAH READING – Devariym (Deuteronomy) 33:18–29
- And of Zevulun he said, Rejoice, Zevulun, in your going out; and Yissakar, in your tents.
- They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.
- And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlarges Gad: he dwells as a lion, and tears the arm with the crown of the head.
- And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of Yahuah, and his judgments with Yashar'el.
- And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.
- And of Naphtaliy he said, O Naphtaliy, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of Yahuah: possess you the west and the south.
- And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil.
- Your shoes shall be iron and brass; and as your days, so shall your strength be.
- There is none like unto the El of Yasharun, who rides upon the heaven in your help, and in his excellency on the sky.
- The eternal Elohiym is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before you; and shall say, Destroy them.
- Yashar'el then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Ya`aqov shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
- Happy are you, O Yashar'el: who is like unto you, O people saved by Yahuah, the shield of your help, and who is the sword of your excellency! and your enemies shall be found liars unto you; and you shall tread upon their high places.
๐ PROPHETS READING – Yesha'yahu (Isaiah) 12:1–6
- And in that day you shall say, O Yahuah, I will praise you: though you were angry with me, your anger is turned away, and you comforted me.
- Behold, El is my yeshu`ah; I will trust, and not be afraid: for Yahuah Yahuah is my strength and my song; he also is become my yeshu`ah.
- Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of yeshu`ah.
- And in that day shall ye say, Praise Yahuah, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
- Sing unto Yahuah; for he has done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.
- Cry out and shout, you inhabitant of Tsiyon: for great is the Holy One of Yashar'el in the midst of you.
๐ PSALM – Tehilliym (Psalm) 33:1–12
- Rejoice in Yahuah, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.
- Praise Yahuah with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.
- Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.
- For the word of Yahuah is right; and all his works are done in truth.
- He loves righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of Yahuah.
- By the word of Yahuah were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
- He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap: he lays up the depth in storehouses.
- Let all the earth fear Yahuah: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.
- For he spoke, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.
- Yahuah brings the counsel of the heathen to nought: he makes the devices of the people of none effect.
- The counsel of Yahuah stands forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
- Blessed is the nation whose Elohiym is Yahuah; and the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
๐ BRIT CHADASHAH – Qorintiym Ri'shon (1 Corinthians) 1:26–31
- For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
- But Elohiym has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and Elohiym has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
- And base things of the world, and things which are despised, has Elohiym chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
- That no flesh should glory in his presence.
- But of him are ye in Mashiach Yahusha, who of Elohiym is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
- That, according as it is written, He that glories, let him glory in Yahuah.
๐ SUPPORTIVE READING – Sefer Ha'Yashar (Book of Jasher) 49:21–25
- And Mosheh blessed the latter tribes also, that they might know their portion.
- He declared to Zevulun their portion in the seas, and Yissakar their portion in study and tents.
- He declared to Gad, Naphtaliy, and Asher their strength and portion.
- He confirmed Yahuah's goodness upon all the tribes.
- And Mosheh spoke, Happy are you, O Yashar'el, for Yahuah has chosen you for his inheritance.
