Preparing for the Feast of Tabernacles - Dwelling with Yahuah
๐ TORAH READING – Devariym (Deuteronomy) 34:1–12
- And Mosheh went up from the plains of Mo'av unto the mountain of Nevo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Yeriycho. And Yahuah showed him all the land of Gil`ad, unto Dan,
- And all Naphtaliy, and the land of Ephrayim, and Menashsheh, and all the land of Yahudah, unto the utmost sea,
- And the south, and the plain of the valley of Yeriycho, the city of palm trees, unto Tso`ar.
- And Yahuah said unto him, This is the land which I swore unto Avraham, unto Yitschaq, and unto Ya`aqov, saying, I will give it unto your seed: I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over thither.
- So Mosheh the servant of Yahuah died there in the land of Mo'av, according to the word of Yahuah.
- And he buried him in a valley in the land of Mo'av, over against Beth-Pe`or: but no man knows of his sepulchre unto this day.
- And Mosheh was a hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.
- And the children of Yashar'el wept for Mosheh in the plains of Mo'av thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Mosheh were ended.
- And Yahusha the son of Nun was full of the ruach of wisdom; for Mosheh had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Yashar'el hearkened unto him, and did as Yahuah commanded Mosheh.
- And there arose not a prophet since in Yashar'el like unto Mosheh, whom Yahuah knew face to face,
- In all the signs and the wonders, which Yahuah sent him to do in the land of Mitsrayim to Phar`oh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,
- And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Mosheh showed in the sight of all Yashar'el.
๐ PROPHETS READING – Yahusha (Joshua) 1:10–18
- Then Yahusha commanded the officers of the people, saying,
- Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Yardan, to go in to possess the land, which Yahuah Elohaykem gives you to possess it.
- And to the Re'uveniym, and to the Gadiym, and to half the tribe of Menashsheh, spoke Yahusha, saying,
- Remember the word which Mosheh the servant of Yahuah commanded you, saying, Yahuah Elohaykem has given you rest, and has given you this land.
- Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Mosheh gave you on this side Yardan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them;
- Until Yahuah has given your brethren rest, as he has given you, and they also have possessed the land which Yahuah Elohaykem gives them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Mosheh Yahuah's servant gave you on this side Yardan toward the sunrising.
- And they answered Yahusha, saying, All that you command us we will do, and whithersoever you send us, we will go.
- According as we hearkened unto Mosheh in all things, so will we hearken unto you: only Yahuah Elohayka be with you, as he was with Mosheh.
- Whosoever he be that does rebel against your commandment, and will not hearken unto your words in all that you command him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.
๐ PSALM – Tehilliym (Psalm) 90:1–17
- Yahuah, you have been our dwelling place in all generations.
- Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are Elohiym.
- You turn man to destruction; and say, Return, ye children of men.
- For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
- You carry them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which grows up.
- In the morning it flourishes, and grows up; in the evening it is cut down, and withers.
- For we are consumed by your anger, and by your wrath are we troubled.
- You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your countenance.
- For all our days are passed away in your wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.
- The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
- Who knows the power of your anger? even according to your fear, so is your wrath.
- So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
- Return, O Yahuah, how long? and let it repent you concerning your servants.
- O satisfy us early with your mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
- Make us glad according to the days wherein you have afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.
- Let your work appear unto your servants, and your glory unto their children.
- And let the beauty of Yahuah Elohaynu be upon us: and establish the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish it.
๐ BRIT CHADASHAH – Yahuchanon (John) 14:1–6
- Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in Elohiym, believe also in me.
- In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
- And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
- And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
- T'oma said unto him, Adonai, we know not whither you go; and how can we know the way?
- Yahusha said unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me.
๐ SUPPORTIVE READING – Sefer Ha'Yashar (Book of Jasher) 90:27–36
- And Mosheh went up unto Mount Nevo, as Yahuah had commanded him.
- And Yahuah showed him all the land of Yashar'el which He had promised to the fathers.
- And Mosheh rejoiced that the promise was fulfilled, though his eyes were filled with tears.
- And Yahuah received his spirit with peace, and buried him in a valley that no man knew.
- And Yashar'el wept for Mosheh thirty days.
- And Yahusha the son of Nun was filled with the Ruach of wisdom, for Mosheh had laid his hands upon him.
- And he led the people with strength and faith.
- And they crossed the Yardan as Yahuah commanded.
- And the people feared Yahuah all the days of Yahusha.
- Blessed is the memory of Mosheh, servant of Yahuah, who delivered His Torah and loved His people unto death.
