  6. And one goat for a sin offering; beside the continual burnt offering, his meat offering, and his drink offering.

๐Ÿ“– TORAH SUPPORTING READING – Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 23:39–43

  1. Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto Yahuah seven days: on the first day shall be a Shabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Shabbath.
  2. And ye shall take you on the first day the fruit of splendid trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before Yahuah Elohaykem seven days.
  3. And ye shall keep it a feast unto Yahuah seven days in the year. It shall be a statute forever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month.
  4. Ye shall dwell in cukkoth seven days; all that are Yashar'el born shall dwell in cukkoth:
  5. That your generations may know that I made the children of Yashar'el to dwell in cukkoth, when I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim: I am Yahuah Elohaykem.

๐Ÿ“– PROPHETS READING – Yesha'yahu (Isaiah) 32:16–18

  1. Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
  2. And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.
  3. And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.

๐Ÿ“– PSALM – Tehilliym (Psalm) 46:1–7

  1. Elohiym is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
  2. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
  3. Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
  4. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of Elohiym, the holy place of the tabernacles of El-Elyon.
  5. Elohiym is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: Elohiym shall help her, and that right early.
  6. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
  7. Yahuah Tseva'oth is with us; the Elohiym of Ya'aqov is our refuge. Selah.

๐Ÿ“– BRIT CHADASHAH – Ivriym (Hebrews) 4:1–11

  1. Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
  2. For unto us was the Besorah preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with belief in them that heard it.
  3. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
  4. For he spoke in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And Elohiym did rest the seventh day from all his works.
  5. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
  6. Seeing therefore it remains that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
  7. Again, he limits a certain day, saying in David, Today, after so long a time; as it is said, Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
  8. For if Yahusha (Joshua) had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
  9. There remains therefore a rest to the people of Elohiym.
  10. For he that is entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as Elohiym did from his.
  11. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

๐Ÿ“– SUPPORTIVE READING – Sefer Ha'Yashar (Book of Jasher) 85:55–60

  1. And on the sixth day, the people rested in gladness and peace, for it was a Shabbath unto Yahuah.
  2. They gathered together in their tents and sang of the goodness of Yahuah, who had given them peace on every side.
  3. The Leviyiym read aloud the Torah of Mosheh, reminding the people that Yahuah is their refuge and dwelling place forever.
  4. The children listened with joy, waving branches and shouting, "Yahuah Tseva'oth is with us!"
  5. The elders blessed the congregation, saying, "Peace be within your walls, and righteousness within your gates."
  6. And Yahuah's presence rested upon His people, and there was quietness throughout the camp.
