๐ TORAH READING – Devariym (Deuteronomy) 31:1–30
- And Mosheh went and spoke these words unto all Yashar'el.
- And he said unto them, I am a hundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also Yahuah has said unto me, You shall not go over this Yardan.
- Yahuah Elohayka, he will go over before you, and he will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall possess them: and Yahusha, he shall go over before you, as Yahuah has said.
- And Yahuah shall do unto them as he did to Ciychon and to Og, kings of the Emoriym, and unto the land of them, whom he destroyed.
- And Yahuah shall give them up before your face, that you may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.
- Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for Yahuah Elohayka, he it is that goes with you; he will not fail you, nor forsake you.
- And Mosheh called unto Yahusha, and said unto him in the sight of all Yashar'el, Be strong and of a good courage: for you must go with this people unto the land which Yahuah has sworn unto their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it.
- And Yahuah, he it is that goes before you; he will be with you, he will not fail you, neither forsake you: fear not, neither be dismayed.
- And Mosheh wrote this Torah, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Leviy, which bore the Ark of the Covenant of Yahuah, and unto all the elders of Yashar'el.
- And Mosheh commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the Feast of Cukkoth,
- When all Yashar'el is come to appear before Yahuah Elohayka in the place which he shall choose, you shall read this Torah before all Yashar'el in their hearing.
- Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and your stranger that is within your gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear Yahuah Elohaykem, and guard to do all the words of this Torah:
- And that their children, which have not known anything, may hear, and learn to fear Yahuah Elohaykem, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over the Yardan to possess it.
- And Yahuah said unto Mosheh, Behold, your days approach that you must die: call Yahusha, and present yourselves in the Tabernacle of the assembly, that I may give him a charge. And Mosheh and Yahusha went, and presented themselves in the Tabernacle of the assembly.
- And Yahuah appeared in the Tabernacle in a pillar of a cloud: and the pillar of the cloud stood over the door of the Tabernacle.
- And Yahuah said unto Mosheh, Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the elohiym of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have cut with them.
- Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our Elohiym is not among us?
- And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other elohiym.
- Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Yashar'el: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Yashar'el.
- For when I shall have brought them into the land which I swore unto their fathers, that flows with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other elohiym, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.
- And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I swore.
- Mosheh therefore wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Yashar'el.
- And he gave Yahusha the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for you shall bring the children of Yashar'el into the land which I swore unto them: and I will be with you.
- And it came to pass, when Mosheh had made an end of writing the words of this Torah in a cepher, until they were finished,
- That Mosheh commanded the Leviyiym, which bore the Ark of the Covenant of Yahuah, saying,
- Take this cepher of the Torah, and put it in the side of the Ark of the Covenant of Yahuah Elohaykem, that it may be there for a witness against you.
- For I know your rebellion, and your stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against Yahuah; and how much more after my death?
- Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.
- For I know that after my death ye will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days; because ye will do evil in the sight of Yahuah, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.
- And Mosheh spoke in the ears of all the assembly of Yashar'el the words of this song, until they were ended.
๐ PROPHETS READING – Yahusha (Joshua) 1:1–9
- Now after the death of Mosheh the servant of Yahuah it came to pass, that Yahuah spoke unto Yahusha the son of Nun, Mosheh's minister, saying,
- Mosheh my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Yardan, you, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Yashar'el.
- Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Mosheh.
- From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Perath, all the land of the Chittiym, and unto the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
- There shall not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life: as I was with Mosheh, so I will be with you: I will not fail you, nor forsake you.
- Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shall you divide for an inheritance the land, which I swore unto their fathers to give them.
- Only be strong and very courageous, that you may guard to do according to all the Torah, which Mosheh my servant commanded you: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper whithersoever you go.
- This cepher of the Torah shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may guard to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.
- Have not I commanded you? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be dismayed: for Yahuah Elohayka is with you whithersoever you go.
๐ PSALM – Tehilliym (Psalm) 31:19–24
- Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for them that fear you; which you have wrought for them that trust in you before the sons of men!
- You shall hide them in the secret of your presence from the pride of man: you shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
- Blessed be Yahuah: for he has showed me his marvelous kindness in a strong city.
- For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before your eyes: nevertheless you heard the voice of my supplications when I cried unto you.
- O love Yahuah, all ye his qodeshiym: for Yahuah guards the faithful, and plentifully rewards the proud doer.
- Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in Yahuah.
๐ BRIT CHADASHAH – Ivriym (Hebrews) 13:5–8
- Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you.
- So that we may boldly say, Yahuah is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
- Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of Elohiym: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
- Yahusha Ha'Mashiach the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
๐ SUPPORTIVE READING – Sefer Ha'Yashar (Book of Jasher) 91:9–15
- And it was after this that Yahusha the son of Nun died, and Yashar'el was lacking a shepherd.
- And they began to stray from the way of righteousness which Mosheh and Yahusha had taught them.
- And they forsook Yahuah Elohay of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim, and they went after strange elohiym, and they served them.
- And the anger of Yahuah was kindled against Yashar'el, and he delivered them into the hand of spoilers, who spoiled them, and into the hand of their enemies round about.
- And they were no longer able to stand before their enemies.
- And afterward Yahuah raised up judges to deliver them from the hand of their enemies.
- Yet even they did not hearken unto their judges fully, but turned quickly aside out of the way.

O Yahuah Elohaynu, we thank You for Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us. Strengthen our hearts to be courageous, to obey Your Torah, and to cling to You always. As we prepare our hearts in these days before Yom Kippur, circumcise our hearts that we may love You with all our being.
