๐ TORAH READING FOR ETHANIM 27, YEAR 6027
(OCTOBER 18, 2025)
According to the Scriptures (ืืช Cepher)
๐ Sunset to Sunset: October 17, 2025 – October 18, 2025
๐ PRIMARY READING — BERESHIYTH (GENESIS) 6:1–22
⚡ The Great Corruption (Genesis 6:1–8)
1. And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2. That the sons of Elohiym saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them women of all which they chose.
3. And Yahuah said, My Ruach shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years.
4. There were Naphiliym in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of Elohiym came in unto the daughters of men, and they bore children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5. And Elohiym saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6. And it repented Yahuah that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart.
7. And Yahuah said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repents Me that I have made them.
8. But Noach found grace in the eyes of Yahuah.
๐ Noach's Righteous Obedience (Genesis 6:9–22)
9. These are the generations of Noach: Noach was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noach walked with Elohiym.
10. And Noach begat three sons, Shem, Cham, and Yapheth.
11. The earth also was corrupt before Elohiym, and the earth was filled with violence.
12. And Elohiym looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted His way upon the earth.
13. And Elohiym said unto Noach, The end of all flesh is come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
14. Make you an ark of gopher wood; rooms shall you make in the ark, and shall pitch it within and without with pitch.
15. And this is the fashion which you shall make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16. A window shall you make to the ark, and in a cubit shall you finish it above; and the door of the ark shall you set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shall you make it.
17. And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and everything that is in the earth shall die.
18. But with you will I establish My covenant; and you shall come into the ark, you, and your sons, and your woman, and your sons' women with you.
19. And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shall you bring into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female.
20. Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto you, to keep them alive.
21. And take unto you of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather it to you; and it shall be for food for you, and for them.
22. Thus did Noach; according to all that Elohiym commanded him, so did he.
๐ SUPPORTING READING — KEFAH SHENIY (2 PETER) 2:4–9
4. For if Elohiym spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to She'ol, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5. And spared not the old world, but saved Noach the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the wicked;
6. And turning the cities of Sedom and Amorah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that after should live wickedly;
7. And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
8. (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
9. Yahuah knows how to deliver the righteous out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.
๐ THEME FOR TODAY
"Righteousness Preserved in a Corrupt Generation"
When the world was filled with violence and perversion, Noach remained steadfast.
He didn't build the ark overnight — it took years of faith, labor, and ridicule.
The same is true today: we are called to build lives of obedience and trust, even while the world mocks righteousness.
The ark represents Yahusha, the covenant, and the way of salvation from the coming judgment.
๐ MITZVOTH FOCUS
"Walk righteously amid corruption and obey Yahuah without hesitation."
Compare Genesis 6:22 with Deuteronomy 6:5–6.
The mitzvah here teaches that faith is not belief alone — it is obedience when no one else obeys.
Noach found grace because he walked with Elohiym and obeyed completely, even when the command made no sense to human reasoning.

๐ CLOSING PRAYER & REFLECTION
O Yahuah Elohiym,
As You preserved Noach in a time of great wickedness, preserve us today.
Help us to walk uprightly when corruption surrounds us,
to obey even when the world rejects Your truth,
and to build our lives according to the pattern of Your covenant.
Let us find grace in Your eyes through faith and obedience,
and may our lives become an ark of righteousness for others to see Your light.
B'shem Yahusha Ha'Mashiach — Amein.
