๐ TORAH READING FOR OCTOBER 20, 2025
According to the Scriptures (ืืช Cepher)
๐ PRIMARY READING — BERESHIYTH (GENESIS) 8:1–22
1. And Elohiym remembered Noach, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and Elohiym made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters were assuaged;
2. The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;
3. And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.
4. And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
5. And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.
Give thanks and build an altar of gratitude.
(Compare Genesis 8:20–21 and Deuteronomy 8:10.)
The mitzvah revealed here is thanksgiving — offering back to Yahuah the first of what remains after deliverance.
Noach's first act after the flood was not to explore, build, or plant — it was to worship.
Gratitude is the foundation of righteousness; thanksgiving sanctifies the blessings of restoration.
"Yahuah Remembers and Restores."
Even when judgment covers the land, Yahuah does not forget the righteous.
The dove with the olive leaf reminds us that His mercy always finds a way to reach us — a token of peace after the storm, and a sign that life will sprout again where death once reigned.
As He remembered Noach, He will remember you — to lift you above the flood, and to set your feet on solid ground again.
Prophets: Yeshayahu 54:8–10 — "With everlasting kindness will I have mercy on you… My covenant of peace shall not be removed."
Brit Chadashah: Philippians 4:6–7 — "In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto Elohiym."
Cepher Additions: Yovheliym 6:1–6 — the covenant of the rainbow and the law of seedtime and harvest established forever.
O Yahuah Elohiym,
You are faithful to remember those who wait upon You.
When the floods rise and the world trembles, You lift up those who walk in obedience.
Teach us to wait in patience, to trust in Your timing, and to give You praise when deliverance comes.
Let our lives be as Noach's altar — a continual offering of thanksgiving before Your throne.
Restore peace to our hearts and renew the covenant of mercy within us.
B'shem Yahusha Ha'Mashiach — Amein.
May this word of Yahuah be a blessing to your soul.
