Torah Reading for October 21, 2025 - Covenant, Mercy, and Accountability - Genesis 9:1-29

๐Ÿ“œ TORAH READING FOR OCTOBER 21, 2025 - GENESIS 9:1-29. And Elohiym blessed Noach and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moves upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man. Whoso sheds man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of Elohiym made He man. And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein. And Elohiym spoke unto Noach, and to his sons with him, saying, And I, behold, I establish My covenant with you, and with your seed after you; And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth. And I will establish My covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. And Elohiym said, This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between Elohiym and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. THEME FOR TODAY: Covenant, Mercy, and Accountability. After judgment came restoration, and after mercy came responsibility. ๐Ÿ“œ SUPPORTING READING — YESHAYAHU (ISAIAH) 54:9–10

9. "For this is as the waters of Noach unto Me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noach should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with you, nor rebuke you.

10. For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but My kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of My peace be removed," says Yahuah that has mercy on you.

๐Ÿ“˜ MITZVOTH FOCUS

Remember the Covenant of Life and Walk in Reverence.
(Compare Genesis 9:4–6 and Deuteronomy 12:23–25.)

The mitzvah reminds us that life belongs to Yahuah.

Blood represents life — therefore, it is not to be consumed or treated lightly.

Every drop of blood, whether of man or beast, is sacred before Him.

The covenant sign — the rainbow — is a perpetual reminder of mercy, judgment restrained, and the sanctity of all life under His rule.

๐ŸŒ… THEME FOR TODAY

"Covenant, Mercy, and Accountability."

After judgment came restoration, and after mercy came responsibility.

Yahuah renewed His covenant with Noach — promising never again to destroy all flesh by water — but He also reaffirmed His law: that life is sacred, justice is required, and righteousness must be preserved.

Even mercy requires stewardship.

The rainbow is not man's banner — it is Yahuah's reminder of compassion toward His creation.

Those who remember the covenant walk humbly, grateful for grace yet mindful of holiness.

๐Ÿ™ CLOSING PRAYER & REFLECTION

O Yahuah Elohiym,
You are the Elohiym of mercy and covenant faithfulness.

Thank You for remembering Your creation and sealing the heavens with the sign of Your promise.

Teach us to walk as children of the covenant — to revere life, to live in purity, and to keep our eyes on the rainbow of Your mercy.

Guard us from irreverence and pride; let gratitude and righteousness be our covering.

As You remembered Noach, remember us, and keep us faithful until the appearing of Yahusha Ha'Mashiach.

Amein.

THE QUESTION THAT MATTERS:

Will you honor the covenant of life in all your ways, or will you forget the One who set the rainbow as His eternal promise?

The choice is yours. But remember—every rainbow is Yahuah's invitation to remember His mercy.

Choose well, brother or sister. Your covenant faithfulness depends on it. Your legacy demands it. And Yahuah is watching.

Ready to walk as a child of the covenant?
The rainbow reminds us daily that mercy and responsibility go hand in hand.

May this word of Yahuah be a blessing to your soul.

Shalom and blessings from The FUNDamental Qahal of the Most High
