๐ซ HALLOWEEN: A CELEBRATION OF DARKNESS
That Yahuah Despises
October 27, 2025 | 5th of Cheshvan, 5786 | Sunset to Sunset
"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."
— Ephesians 5:11
As the world decorates its homes with jack-o'-lanterns, skeletons, and ghosts, many are unaware that Halloween is not a harmless holiday, but a celebration of death, fear, and demonic power.
It is not a holy day but a hellish day. It honors the spirits of the dead, exalts witchcraft, and mocks the light of Yahuah.
No matter how "cute" or "innocent" the costumes or candy may seem, the origin and purpose of this day are rooted in rebellion against the Most High.
⚰️ THE PAGAN ROOTS OF HALLOWEEN
๐ Samhain — The Festival of Death
Halloween's origins come from Samhain (pronounced "Sow-en"), the ancient Celtic festival marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the dark half of the year.
Pagans believed that on this night — October 31st — the veil between the living and the dead was thinnest. They lit bonfires, wore masks, and offered sacrifices to appease and communicate with spirits.
The Druids, high priests of witchcraft, practiced divination, animal and human sacrifices, and necromancy during these rites — all abominations forbidden by Yahuah.
๐️ The Roman Blending
When Rome conquered the Celtic lands, Samhain was merged with the festival of Pomona, the Roman goddess of fruit and trees. Pomona's symbol was the apple — which gave rise to the modern game of "bobbing for apples."
What was once a ritual of spirit invocation became a "game" to disguise its idolatrous roots.
⛪ Catholic Assimilation
In the 8th century, the Roman Church attempted to "Christianize" this pagan festival. Pope Gregory III declared November 1 as All Saints' Day (All Hallows) — a day to honor the dead "saints." October 31st then became known as All Hallows' Eve, later shortened to Halloween.
But instead of redeeming the day, the Church merged with pagan darkness, not separated from it. Scripture calls this spiritual adultery — mixing the holy with the profane.
๐ WHAT YAHUAH COMMANDS ABOUT SUCH PRACTICES
Deuteronomy 18:9–12
"When you are come into the land which Yahuah Elohayka gives you, you shall not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone that makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto Yahuah…"
Leviticus 19:31
"Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am Yahuah Elohaykem."
1 Corinthians 10:20–21
"The things which the nations sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to Elohim… You cannot drink the cup of Yahuah and the cup of devils."
Halloween glorifies all that Yahusha Ha'Mashiach came to destroy — fear, death, and rebellion. Dressing as witches, ghosts, or demons is not harmless fun — it is a mockery of righteousness.
๐ฅ WHY PARTICIPATION IS DANGEROUS
Participating in Halloween opens spiritual doors that invite darkness into one's home. It is not about "pretending." It is agreement with evil — however disguised.
Even handing out candy is a form of participation. The "trick-or-treat" practice originated in pagan offerings left to appease spirits so they would not curse the household.
Each symbol of Halloween — the skulls, black cats, bats, witches, and ghosts — reflects the worship of the dead, not the worship of the living Elohim.
Isaiah 8:19–20
"And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their Elohim? for the living to the dead? To the Torah and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."
๐ THE CALL TO SEPARATION
2 Corinthians 6:14–17
"What fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion has light with darkness? … Wherefore come out from among them, and be separate, says Yahuah, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you."
Romans 12:2
"And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of Elohim."
Yahuah has called His people to be a set-apart nation, not imitators of the world. No act of participation in darkness can ever be sanctified.
๐ THEME FOR TODAY:
"COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE"
— Revelation 18:4
Halloween represents the system of Babylon — a mixture of religion, idolatry, and deception. Yahuah is calling His remnant out of this world's unclean celebrations and into His marvelous light.
Let our children see holiness — not horror.
Let our homes be filled with prayer — not pumpkins.
Let our lips proclaim Yahusha — not "trick or treat."
๐ CLOSING PRAYER
Abba Yahuah,
We repent for the times when we have walked in ignorance, following the ways of the nations. Cleanse us from every defilement of darkness and teach us to discern between the clean and the unclean.
Let Your Ruach (Spirit) fill our homes and hearts with light, truth, and power. Guard our children from deception, and let us be bold to stand apart as Your set-apart ones in this crooked generation.
We renounce all forms of witchcraft, fear, and rebellion, and we declare that Yahusha Ha'Mashiach reigns in our hearts and homes.
In His Name we pray — ๐ค๐ค๐ค
๐ค๐ค Ha'Mashiach (Yahusha).
Aman.
